A Retirement Celebration

Mr. Pat Henneberry is finishing the last chapter of his long and storied career with the Halifax Regional School Board at the end of this school year. The staff and students are sorry to see him leave but they are also glad that his long service will be rewarded with the retirement he deserves.

But what would a retirement be without a celebration of such a milestone? For all those interested in an evening of good company and good cheer, please see our retirement party page for details. See you there!

Power School Live!

Sackville Heights Junior High is excited to introduce parent and student access to our online attendance and teacher grading program, Power School (PS)!

Due to confidentiality issues and Halifax Regional School Board regulations, parents and guardians are required to pick up access codes in person from the school.

We are only permitted to give the set-up code to the parent(s) or guardian(s) who appear on our school registration forms as the legal guardian(s).

We realize this is inconvenient for many parents, but we ask that you understand as it is the best way for us to ensure the safety and security of information pertaining to our students. Their safety is our priority.

We welcome you to come by the school anytime between 8:30am and 3:30pm starting Monday, April 2nd to pick up your access information. We will also be able to distribute this information during our Parent-Teacher evening on April 25th.

How to get started:

Head to our dedicated Power School Page to find out more about the program and access the system after you have obtained your codes from the school. There will also be a permanent link to this page on the 'Parent' section of this website.

Please Note: Term 2 grades are not visible on Parent Portal until April 12th, 2012.

You can find the full text of the telephone automated messages here should you wish to review the information provided. A permanent link to the automated messages page is provided in the parents section of the website.
